WILL EPIC RELEASE FORTNITE PATCH NOTES? WILL THERE BE A FORTNITE UPDATE TODAY?

Epic Games usually release Fortnite updates on Tuesday or Wednesday and released Fortnite patch notes last week. We might be getting an update today.
If you’ve been playing Fortnite for some time, you’ll know that prior to Fortnite Chapter 2, Epic Games would update the Fortnite MOTD (message of the day) news feed to announce the next item or Fortnite gun coming to the game.
In doing so, Epic created anticipation and excitement for players wanting to try out the new addition to the Battle Royale version of the game. It also gave an early heads up that we’d be getting a Fortnite update within the next day or two after the news feed updated.

WILL THERE BE A FORTNITE UPDATE TODAY?

Not only did Epic update the message of the day, Epic would let players know a Fortnite update would be releasing a day prior to it going live. Last week, Epic did tweet out on the Fortnite Status Twitter account that there would be an update, but it was at 11pm ET and the majority of players weren’t awake to see the tweet.
There hasn’t been as many Fortnite items added to the game like we’ve been used to in chapter 1. There’s only be a couple of items or weapons added during the season, the latest being the Harpoon Gun.

The Harpoon Gun was added in the v11.10 Fortnite content update, but there was no prior announcement that there’d be an update. In all previous seasons, Epic would announce a content update.

FORTNITE PATCH NOTES

The other common complain this season is the lack of Fortnite Patch Notes. Granted, Epic did decide to release patch notes for the v11.20 Fortnite update last week, but according to some players, they missed out some changes they made.
Last week was the only week we’ve had patch notes. If we are to receive a Fortnite content update today or tomorrow, it’s unlikely Epic will post patch notes for them.

WILL THERE BE A NEW FORTNITE GUN?

Dataminers leaked that the Scoped Assault Rifle and Heavy Assault Rifle will be making a return as they received a new look and changes to their stats.

There’s enough mission challenge loading screens and Fortnite skins and other cosmetics to last this week and the next. It’s likely Epic will simply add the heavy assault rifle and scoped assault rifle in the weeks leading up to the next major Fortnite update.
